Keep taking the medicine

January 14, 2013

Clinically diagnosed depression seems to be so common these days that many of us will know someone who is suffering. We may also be aware of the almost miraculous effect of the right medication.

We may also be aware of what can happen if the sufferer stops taking that medication. If you are not, then this BBC news item is an extreme example.

“A German student “mooned” a group of Hell’s Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer, police have said.” It gets more bizarre.

The puppy apparently suffered no harm.

The man “was arrested later at home by police. The 26-year-old is said to have stopped taking depression medication.”
