Artist secures funding to smash ‘lemon’ car

July 5, 2010

I never know what my artist son is going to be doing next. His current project seems to be attracting plenty of attention:

“A Wellington artist has secured arts funding to stage a public smashing of the ‘lemon’ car he bought on an online auction site.

And he is inviting members of the public who have had similar experiences to join in the destruction.

Most people can identify with James Ford’s sentiments – the intense frustration you get when you buy something and later discover it’s a dud.”

Oh, come ON!!!! What MUG private trust funded this guy to wreck his own car? Has it no sense?
By securing the grant, he’s recouped his purchase price [I say more fool HIM for (a) buying on-line and (b) buying a bloody Primera!!!].
And when the demolition is over, he plans to sell the wreck as “art” and make even more $$$ out of his own stupidity!
    Graphic artist? Or rip-off artist?
    You decide.
