What is happenning to the English language?

June 18, 2010

This morning, on the Radio 4 Today programme, a brave American soldier was interviewed and described how he dragged his dying colleague and then how he was dragged by paramedics.
Except he didn’t say “dragged”, he said “drug”.
Did he just make that up? Is it in common usage?
I know languages evolve but that is just plain wrong. If you speak English please try to speak it properly.
