Politicians should choose their words carefully

This is what David Cameron was trying to give as a reason why he doesn’t use Twitter; implying that such quick, brief responses might not get the forethought any politician should give before he speaks or writes in public.

He summed it up nicely as “too many twits make a twat”. Unfortunately he was giving a live radio interview at the time and, in the UK, the word “twat” can also mean the same as a “c**t” .

(He has since apologised for swearing.)
