A Victoria Police spokesman said the man, aged in his 20s, was electrocuted while riding on the roof of the city bound train near Heathmont railway station at 10.15pm (AEDT) last night.
“Police have been told the man boarded the train at Bayswater railway station and climbed onto the roof of the three-carriage passenger train,” Senior Constable Wayne Wilson said.
While on the roof of the train it is believed the man made contact with the electric current.
